VACATION
I'm leaving for Finland tomorrow. I'll be in the middle of nowhere, on a lake, in a canoe for a week. After that we're going to Helsinki, then we'll go back driving through Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland and Germany. Maybe we'll stop in Berlin on the way back. I'm really excited and I promise to post more when I'm back. x

MAY
beautiful places : one of the most beautiful rooms i have ever seen, museum Boijmans van Beuningen// palace of the Normans, Palermo, Sicily // museum of modern art, Palermo // museum of modern art, Palermo ( i find the curtain intriguing)
These months include a lot of travelling and visiting museums. Very cultural. Very nice. I went to Sicily (that was fun, and so beautiful, it also looked a bit like Greece last year) in April, also to the Groninger Museum (as you may have seen in my last post), and in May I went to Brussels (and visited a nice museum there, there were pictures of a Dutch photographer about Brussels) and last week I went to Rotterdam, to the museum Boijmans van Beuningen which was really really nice. I like abstract art more and more. I'm also going to make a theatre production with a friend of mine - we will perform next year, probably March - and we're visiting a lot of plays. I'm also - with a 13 other people - organizing a school trip to Tallinn and maybe Helsinki. Oh and we had the liberation festival last saturday, and I saw the Asteroids Galaxy Tour there! It was awesome. You see, lots of lovely things going on, so forgive me if I don't blog too often. I do post on my tumblr --> http://thecatenrose.tumblr.com/

IRIS VAN HERPEN
above: highlights from the Iris van Herpen exhibition.
I went to the north of the Netherlands this weekend with Kayra (http://thedaughterofgaia.blogspot.com/) to see two exhibitions: Azzedine Alaïa in the 21st Century and Iris van Herpen. And it was beautiful. Only the Alaïa-exhibition didn't have any information about the fashion we were seeing and the light was bad. And there were no shoes. Not at all. But apart from this, both exhibitions were gorgeous. look at kayra's blog for the azzedine alaïa part.
